Cheek and Midface Filler
Restore structure. Reframe your face.
Volume loss in your midface changes the shape of your whole face. Your cheeks flatten, the folds around your mouth deepen, and the first signs of jowling appear along your jawline. Cheek and midface filler restores lost volume and support without altering your natural features. At Kirei Clinic, Dr Mei and Dr Rosie both carry out this treatment, and both start with a full assessment of your whole face before recommending a plan.
Why Kirei Clinic?
Your face is one connected structure. Volume loss in your cheeks affects how your jawline reads, how deep your nasolabial folds appear, and how the rest of your face balances. Treating your cheeks alone, without looking at your jawline, your temples and your under-eye area, risks a result sitting out of proportion with the rest of your features. At Kirei Clinic, Dr Mei and Dr Rosie both treat the cheeks and midface, and both work from a full-face assessment before agreeing a plan. Dr Mei brings a background as a Core Trainee in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, treating facial fractures and face and neck injuries, alongside ten years in aesthetic practice and work with Merz, Allergan and Fillmed. Dr Rosie is a Newcastle graduate and former national trainer for polynucleotides. Together, the team builds your midface plan around your bone structure and proportions, not one feature viewed on its own.

FAQs
How long do results last?
Results typically last a minimum of 9 to 12 months, and often last years for our patients. Some patients hold volume longer, while others metabolise filler faster and need a top-up sooner. Your clinician talks through what to expect for your skin and lifestyle at consultation.
Will I look puffy or overdone?
No, not when your treatment plan matches your anatomy. Dr Mei and Dr Rosie build volume gradually, working with your bone structure and proportions rather than adding as much filler as possible in one session. The aim is a rested, balanced appearance, not a change strangers notice.
Is the treatment painful?
Most patients describe mild discomfort rather than pain. Dr Mei and Dr Rosie use a cannula technique for most of the treatment, which keeps discomfort low without needing numbing cream first, and many filler products contain a local anaesthetic for added comfort during treatment. Any tenderness after your appointment settles within a day or two.
What type of fillers do you use?
Kirei Clinic uses hyaluronic acid based fillers, including Stylage, Teoxane, Juvederm, Belotero and Restylane. Your clinician selects the product suited to your anatomy, the area treated, and the result you want, and explains the choice with you at consultation.
Who is suitable for cheek filler?
Cheek and midface filler suits most adults with volume loss, flattening or asymmetry in the midface. Cheek filler is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Your clinician confirms your suitability at a full consultation, after reviewing your medical history and examining your face alongside the rest of your features.
How long is the recovery time?
Most patients return to normal activities the same day. Mild swelling or bruising at injection points settles within a few days, and makeup covers minor marks after 24 hours. Your clinician gives you full aftercare guidance before you leave your appointment.
