Skin Boosters

Skin boosters are injectable treatments, hydrating and regenerating your skin from within. Unlike dermal fillers, they are not designed to add volume. Instead, they work on tone, texture, elasticity and glow, giving your skin a healthier quality rather than a different shape. At Kirei Clinic, your skin is assessed as part of your whole face, so the right booster is chosen to fit your goals and your anatomy.

What Skin Boosters Do You Offer?

We offer three skin boosters, each with a distinct action. Profhilo is pure hyaluronic acid with a bioremodelling effect, spreading through the tissue and improving skin firmness, hydration and elasticity. Belotero REVIVE, by Merz, targets fine lines, dullness and crepey skin, refining texture where your skin has started to look tired or thin. SKINVIVE, by Allergan, hydrates skin from within using a microdroplet of hyaluronic acid, improving smoothness and glow. If polynucleotide treatment interests you instead, including PLINEST, an area led by Dr Rosie’s specialist training as a former national trainer in polynucleotides, visit our dedicated Polynucleotides page.

Why Kirei Clinic?

Kirei Clinic is a team, not a single practitioner working alone. Dr Mei is a GDC-registered dentist with 10 years in aesthetic practice, previously a national trainer, and now works alongside Merz, Allergan and Fillmed. Dr Rosie is a GDC-registered dentist and Newcastle graduate, previously a national trainer for polynucleotides, and practises at our Leeds clinic. Every treatment starts with an assessment of your whole face, not one isolated area. Your skin, your bone structure and your movement patterns all inform the plan, because a change in one part of your face affects how the rest of the face reads.

FAQs

How long do results last?

Results vary by product and by your skin. Profhilo is typically given as a course of two sessions four weeks apart, with results building over the following months. Belotero REVIVE and SKINVIVE also work best as a course, with your clinician setting out a schedule during your consultation based on your skin condition.

Most patients describe mild discomfort during injection. A topical numbing cream is available on request. The treatments are quick and most people return to normal activity straight after.

Hydration and glow often improve within days. The deeper regenerative effects, including firmness and elasticity, build gradually over several weeks as your skin responds to treatment.

Skin boosters suit a wide range of skin types and concerns, but suitability depends on your medical history and skin condition. Your clinician reviews this with you at consultation before agreeing on a treatment plan. Skin boosters are not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

How do skin boosters differ from dermal filler?

Dermal filler adds volume and shape to specific areas of your face. Skin boosters do not add volume. They work through hydration and regeneration, improving the quality of your skin itself, its tone, texture and elasticity. Many patients use both, filler for structure and boosters for skin quality, but they serve different purposes.

Available in Leeds & Beverley

Skin boosters are available at Kirei Clinic Leeds and at Perfect32 Dental Practice in Beverley, a CQC-registered setting where Dr Mei practises. Dr Rosie’s polynucleotide expertise, including PLINEST, is available at our Leeds clinic.
