Regenerative Aesthetics
Regenerative aesthetics uses your own biology to repair and support your skin. Instead of adding a synthetic substance, these treatments draw on material from your own body, or on particles supporting your skin’s own repair processes, to improve tone, texture and quality over time. At Kirei Clinic, we offer PRP, PRP Biofiller and Exosome treatments, each suited to a different goal.
Why Kirei Clinic?
Your face works as one connected unit. Skin quality, volume and structure all affect each other, so we assess your whole face before we recommend a treatment plan, not one area in isolation. Kirei Clinic is a team of GDC-registered dentists working in aesthetic practice. Dr Mei has ten years of experience in aesthetic practice. Dr Rosie is a Newcastle graduate and a former national trainer for polynucleotides. You are assessed and treated by a team with depth of experience, not a single practitioner working alone.
PRP
PRP, platelet-rich plasma, is drawn from your own blood. We separate the plasma and platelets from your blood sample, then reintroduce this concentrate into your skin. PRP supports your skin’s own regeneration processes and is used to improve overall skin quality, tone and texture. Because the material comes from your own blood, PRP works with your body’s existing repair mechanisms rather than adding a foreign substance.
PRP Biofiller
PRP Biofiller starts with the same PRP drawn from your own blood, but the plasma is heated and thickened during processing. This change alters the consistency so the material holds shape once placed in the skin. Where standard PRP focuses on skin quality and regeneration, PRP Biofiller adds a subtle structural element, giving the material a gentle volumising effect alongside the regenerative benefits of PRP. If your goal is skin quality alone, standard PRP suits you. If you want regenerative support alongside subtle added volume, PRP Biofiller is the closer fit. Your clinician will confirm which is right for you at consultation, based on your skin and your goals.
Exosomes
Exosomes are cell-signalling particles supporting skin repair and regeneration. Exosome treatment introduces these particles into the skin to support your body’s own regenerative signalling. The mechanism and outcome depend on your individual skin and goals, which your clinician will discuss with you at consultation. Exosomes are also available in combination with CO2 or PICO laser treatment.
FAQs
What is PRP?
PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma. We draw a small sample of your blood, process the sample to concentrate the platelets and plasma, then reintroduce this into your skin. PRP supports your skin’s own regeneration and improves overall skin quality.
Is PRP safe, since the treatment uses my own blood?
PRP uses material drawn from your own body, so the treatment does not carry the risks associated with foreign substances. Your blood sample is processed and used only for you. As with any injectable treatment, your clinician will discuss your medical history and any individual risk factors with you at consultation.
How many sessions do I need?
The number of sessions depends on your skin and your goals, which your clinician will assess at consultation. Regenerative treatments generally work over a course of sessions rather than a single visit, since your skin needs time to respond and rebuild.
How is PRP Biofiller different from standard PRP?
Both start with plasma drawn from your own blood. Standard PRP is used as drawn, to support skin quality and regeneration. PRP Biofiller is heated and thickened first, a process letting the material hold shape in the skin and add a subtle volumising effect alongside the regenerative benefits. Your clinician will help you decide which suits your goals.
Are these treatments painful?
Most patients describe some discomfort during injection, similar to other injectable treatments. Your clinician will discuss comfort options with you before your session and talk through what to expect based on the specific treatment and area.
Who should avoid regenerative treatments?
PRP, PRP Biofiller and Exosome treatments are not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Your clinician reviews your medical history at consultation to confirm the treatment fits your circumstances.
