HIFU Skin Tightening in Leeds
HIFU skin tightening uses ultrasound energy, the same technology behind Ultherapy, to lift and firm your skin without surgery or downtime. Kirei Clinic delivers this treatment from our Leeds city centre clinic. If sagging skin and jowls concern you, read our Sagging Skin and Jowls page for a fuller picture of your options.
How This Works
HIFU sends focused ultrasound energy to the SMAS layer, the same layer surgeons lift during a facelift. The energy heats this layer without breaking your skin surface, and this heat triggers your body to produce fresh collagen. New collagen builds gradually over the following months. The result is a natural, gradual lift, not a sudden change.
Why Kire Clinic?
Dr Mei, a GDC-registered dentist with ten years in aesthetic practice, is a nationally recognised HIFU trainer and trains aesthetic doctors internationally in non-surgical lifting. Dr Mei, Dr Rosie and Louise all deliver HIFU treatment in clinic, with who treats you on the day set by booking availability, working within the full-face assessment approach Dr Mei sets for every patient. Your treatment plan reflects your whole face, not one area treated in isolation.
Benefits
ul>FAQs
Does treatment hurt?
Most patients describe a warming sensation, with brief, sharp moments as the energy reaches treatment depth. Discomfort varies by area and eases quickly once your session ends.
How soon do I see results?
Some lifting shows soon after treatment. The fuller effect builds over 2 to 3 months as new collagen forms, with results continuing to develop for months after your session.
How many sessions do I need?
Your practitioner assesses your skin and facial structure at consultation before confirming your plan. Some patients need a course of treatments, spaced 3 to 4 months apart, to reach their goal. Results last 6 to 12 months or more, and most patients return for a maintenance session every 9 to 12 months.
Does HIFU work alongside filler?
Yes. Dermal filler restores lost volume, and HIFU lifts and firms existing tissue. Dr Mei, Dr Rosie and Louise plan combined treatments around your full-face assessment, sequencing each treatment for the result you want.
Who is HIFU suitable for?
HIFU suits patients with mild to moderate skin laxity across the brow, jawline, neck or décolletage. Some patients are not suitable, including those with certain skin conditions or metal implants in the treatment area. Your practitioner screens for this at consultation.
Does HIFU also reduce fat?
HIFU skin tightening targets the SMAS layer to lift and firm your skin, working at a different depth and intensity than fat-reduction treatments. Kirei Clinic offers a separate, dedicated HIFU Fat Reduction treatment for stubborn fat pockets. Visit our HIFU Fat Reduction page for full details.
